Held over three days, the Circuit des Remparts is one of the most iconic celebrations of classic motoring in France. Since 1939, every September, the historic town of Angoulême transforms into an open-air automotive museum, with hundreds of vintage and classic cars exhibited throughout the town centre.
The highlight is the famous race itself — one of the very few remaining car races still held on public streets in a city centre. The programme also includes a classic car rally, during which vintage vehicles drive through the beautiful countryside of the Charente, offering spectators a chance to admire them well beyond the city walls.
A unique, atmospheric event not to be missed by car enthusiasts and visitors alike.
